Betta Battery Replacement: Service First, Not Guesswork
Betta says its battery is not an owner-replaceable component. If charging or runtime has changed, use the exact model’s charging checks and ask Betta for a service assessment. A shorter session is a symptom; it does not establish that a replacement battery is needed.

Before requesting battery service
Describe the change: no response after normal preparation, an early stop or a different status indication. Include when it began, whether it repeats and whether it followed storage. Then use the charging guide for the exact model. SE, for example, is solar-only; an adapter procedure from another Betta does not apply.
Send the observed charging result and what happened afterward, together with ordinary care already completed. These external observations are sufficient to open a service case. You do not need to open the housing or photograph internal components.
What to ask Betta
Provide the model, serial number and purchase record through the official service route. Ask whether the symptoms require an inspection, which preparation is needed and how the applicable coverage affects the process. Do not buy a generic battery based on a similar advertised voltage.
