What distinguishes the SK01

Talosbo describes a 7-liter basket, slow and fast modes, app steering, temperature monitoring and a docking function. Solar charging is supplemented by an adapter. The public page gives both 2.5-hour and three-hour charging estimates in different sections, so confirm the supplied revision instead of relying on a precise charging promise.

Evaluate those features against how you actually maintain your pool. App steering may be valuable if retrieval is awkward; basket access may matter more if you empty leaves several times a day. Neither feature establishes a measured cleaning advantage over another robot.

Pool shape and documentation checks

The official SK01 manual requires water deeper than seven inches (18cm) and excludes infinity pools and glass pools. Anti-stranding bars do not make a shallow tanning shelf suitable. Measure the shallowest accessible area before choosing the machine.

Record the model and manual revision supplied with your order. Talosbo has several Pleco devices with different cleaning tasks. A floor-cleaner FAQ about climbing, depth or submerged charging should not be transferred to a floating skimmer.

The model manual gives a maximum salt concentration of 6,500 ppm, while Talosbo’s general help page recommends no more than 5,000 ppm. For a pool above the lower figure, obtain written confirmation for the purchased revision. The manual also prohibits running the device with swimmers or animals, and separately prohibits simultaneous pool-filter operation. Understand random navigation and debris behavior

Talosbo’s SK01 support section describes random navigation. It also says ultrasonic sensing can interpret leaves as an obstacle. That is a meaningful qualification when choosing a robot for a pool with dense floating leaf patches.

If leaf storms are your main issue, ask how the device should be used alongside occasional manual collection. Judge the overall routine: preparation, active collection, emptying and retrieval. The promise of automation should not be interpreted as an instruction to stop inspecting a debris-heavy pool.

App setup, updates and long-term ownership

Get the current app instructions before relying on a particular remote-control function. The support material says firmware updates need stable Wi-Fi and an active app connection. Arrange the initial setup where the required connection is reliable.

Ask how replacement baskets and the correct charging adapter are supplied. Keep charging contacts dry and close the port as directed in the exact instructions. If a charging or software fault persists, use Talosbo support with the recorded model details rather than experimenting with another brand’s reset procedure.
