Choose F1 only after the pool passes its hard limits
The official manual lists 70 mm as the minimum operating depth and 5,000 ppm as the maximum salt concentration. Seventy millimeters converts to about 2.76 inches, which this site displays as 2.8 inches. The Finder therefore excludes F1 at 2.7 inches and allows it at 2.8 inches when the other entered constraints also pass. The saltwater guide owns the cross-model salinity decision; this page applies only F1's documented ceiling.
That boundary only screens a known mismatch. Measure the shallowest shelf, step or connecting passage the robot can reach at the normal water level, then inspect turning room, ladders, coping and wall openings. Meeting 70 mm does not certify that F1 will enter, clean or escape every ledge.
Separate Smart mode from Standard mode
WYBOT's current product page describes Smart mode as a 24-hour operating pattern that alternates ten minutes of work with ten minutes of rest. Standard mode is listed for eight hours of continuous work. A planned Smart-mode pause is therefore different from a failure to resume, and the two numbers are not like-for-like runtime results.
The retained manual describes Smart behavior in weather-adaptive terms, while the current page supplies the fixed ten-minute cycle. Treat the page as current sales documentation and the supplied manual as the operating authority for the delivered revision. These are manufacturer statements, not measurements from this site.
Price the optional DC charger as a separate component
The current WYBOT packing list shows the skimmer, hook, user manual and quick guide; it does not show a DC charger. Both the product FAQ and support page say the charger is sold separately. An Amazon title or bundle can still differ, so inspect the exact offer instead of treating backup charging as included by default.
WYBOT says solar charging requires F1 to be in the pool or water, whether the unit is powered on or off. For indoor use, its support guidance recommends purchasing the charger and using the DC adapter. Add that approved component to the complete-system comparison if shade, indoor placement or your maintenance routine makes backup charging necessary.
For DC charging, the manual calls for the original or authorized charger, a dry charging port, a protected outlet and at least 3 m (10 ft) between the charging position and pool edge. Do not substitute a charger from another F1-branded listing or another WYBOT model merely because its connector appears similar.
Match the basket and app to the actual chore
WYBOT lists a seven-liter basket with a 180-micron cartridge, app steering, mode selection and battery monitoring. Capacity describes storage and microns describe the stated screen opening; neither establishes how often your wet basket needs emptying or guarantees capture of every fine floating particle.
F1 is the surface skimmer. The official manual identifies surface cleaning only, so a stray floor-scrubbing phrase on the current sales page is not used here as a capability claim. Other WYBOT names can be floor-and-wall cleaners, and a bundle can combine two separate robots. Combier and Launs also use F1 in listing names, but that shared label does not make their chargers, apps, manuals or parts interchangeable with WYBOT F1.
