Aiper Surfer Schedule Not Starting: Check Mode and Connection
First check the exact Surfer and whether its schedule is missing or still saved. Aiper's current S2 page explicitly lists custom schedules; its S2 support guidance says a firmware update may clear them. The current S1 product page lists several app controls but its visible feature copy does not establish the same S2 scheduling workflow, so use the S1-specific support article for that model.

The schedule disappeared after an update
Open the correct robot in the Aiper app and look for the saved schedule. For S2, Aiper says an update may remove it. Re-enter a missing schedule and verify its intended mode, day and time. Leave and reopen the screen to confirm the instruction remains saved. For S1, follow the S1 scheduling and firmware article rather than borrowing S2 menu names.
Also check whether someone in the household deliberately disabled it, such as before swimming. A saved but disabled entry and an entry erased by an update both need a settings correction, rather than a motor diagnosis.
The schedule is saved, but the robot does not start
At the intended start time, record the displayed battery level, mode, online state and any fault notification. Aiper's S2 scheduling guidance says to check that the device is in the pool and online. The current S2 page independently confirms custom scheduling as an app feature, but it does not make S2's pairing window or reset timings applicable to S1.
If the robot is offline or the app cannot show a current state, resolve the connection problem first. If the app communicates normally, compare a permitted immediate start with the missed scheduled start. An immediate start that works narrows the report to scheduling; failure of both is a broader operating problem.
A present schedule still fails under the required conditions
Keep one reproducible example: the saved day and time, state at that moment, actual behavior and whether an immediate start worked. Add the app and firmware versions, particularly if the problem began after an update.
Send that example to Aiper before deleting the device or repeatedly recreating a schedule that is already saved. Use official update instructions when prompted, and confirm the schedule afterward. Where menu names differ from the guide, ask which controls apply to your hardware and software version.

Should I factory-reset the robot first?
No. Check whether the schedule is still saved and enabled. If an S2 update removed it, re-enter it; if it remains saved, capture the device state at the missed start before following model-specific troubleshooting.
Why does my app use different mode names?
Controls can vary with the model and software revision. Compare the robot label and app/firmware versions with the instructions, and ask Aiper to resolve a mismatch before using another model’s settings.
